Nonprofit Goals began when people who knew Jo’s work started asking for help.

Jo brings more than 30 years of experience in communications, fundraising, nonprofit management, and executive leadership. Her approach to consulting goes beyond handing an organization a plan. She partners with nonprofit leaders to help them understand what to do next—and how to make it happen.

Storytelling has always been at the heart of Jo’s work. She started her career in television and radio, and that background still shapes her approach to nonprofit work today. Whether the goal is raising more money, engaging a board, building a campaign, creating a strategic plan, or communicating a mission more effectively, the right story can help move people to action.

The name Nonprofit Goals has its own story. Years ago, one of her staff members regularly used #goals when describing Jo. It stuck. It also captures the work she loves most: helping nonprofits identify what success looks like and creating practical strategies to get there.
